What's Haute on the Runway

Sticks and stones may break my bones but stripes will never hurt me
Stripes on stripes on stripes. This fashion week month I've noticed more stripes than usual. Stripes are the pattern that never goes away...like the color black: always in style. Stripes are such a fun pattern to work with when accessorizing. You can always go with a simple black or white accessory, or be spontaneous and add a pop of color!

Go Faux or Go Home!
PETA would be proud because this season it's all about the faux fur. Fur isn't exactly what we think of when we think about our spring/summer wardrobe but the runways may have changed our minds. Fur is always a fun way to make your plain outfit not so plain or make your funky outfit even funkier. Faux fur will always take your outfit to the next level.

  1. You're right. I'm surprised to see fur in a spring/summer season, but I'm loving how the designers were able to incorporate this feature into their designs.

  2. I saw a lot of colorful fur when I was browsing through the collections, also the black and white theme was in every collection I saw...so both of these are perfect for this!! Also, your blog has inspired to be become more blog savey...its really appealing.

  3. i was surprised to see faux fur on the runway for spring but i agree with you and think that fur whether it is real or fake, brings any outfit to the next level. It easily incorporates elegance. I wonder how it will go over during the hot weather though!

  4. Interesting Observation regarding fur. The great thing about faux fur (other than not irking PETA) is that it isn't so blazing hot! Spring fur will be an interesting choice for outerwear should it become a 'thing'.
